Organic, Kinetic, Epic

With his unique touch for the fantasy genre (which is saying something, these days), Bailey has created an organic and intriguing lore, ripe with complex characters and a vast scope - not to mention a chuckle inducing, dry humor weaved throughout. The story is masterfully paced, it's themes interesting and heavy without being draining to the reader. The action is meaningful - every encounter purposeful - and the storyline ever evolving, perhaps not to where you expected, either. His economy of words, and ability to produce vivid images through his descriptions, begs for a visual adaptation. I could see Impure being a graphic novel, TV series or movie ... and this is only the first book. Well done, J.R.

Is there a book 2?

Really good book with an interesting take on vampires. My only real complaint is that I cant find a sequel and there is so much left untouched. I want to know more.

Captivating

The only complaint I have is that this book isn't long enough. Impure is action-packed, has a nifty world idea, and plenty of magic. I hope the next book will be released soon!
